Call 999 in a medical emergency in the first instance. You can find help from these places while you wait for the paramedics:
DEFIBRILLATORS
These devices can be used by any member
of the public when someone is suffering a cardiac arrest – they have simple, step-by-step instructions and are accessible 24/7 in these locations. Call 999 for support when using a defibrillator. The operator will tell you where your nearest one is if you do not know:
THRAPSTON
Accessible 24/7 by any member of the public
• Sackville Street (near Co-op) – side of Public
Toilets
• Huntingdon Road – side of Pet Shop
• High Street – beside front door of Thrapston
Fire Station
• Chancery Lane - Thrapston Sports
Association (next to doctors surgeries)
• Market Road – Thrapston Cattle Market (on outside of cattle shed, to right of entrance to
car park)
Also located at these places during opening hours:
• Inside Thrapston Dental (Bridge Street, next
to Plaza) – during opening hours Monday to
Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
• Inside Chancery Dental (Chancery Lane at
the High Street junction) – during opening hours Monday to Friday 8.30am to 8.45pm
ISLIP
• High Street – inside red telephone box – accessible 24/7
• Old Farm Lane (off High Street) - inside village hall and for use when hall open
• Toll Bar Lane – inside Islip Sports Pavilion – for use when pavilion open
DENFORD
• Front Street – on outside of Village Hall – accessible 24/7
EMERGENCY BLEED KITS
Accessible 24/7 by any member of the public. Call 999 for support to access and use a Bleed Kit. The operator will let you know where your nearest one is if you do not know:
