Denford Holy Trinity Church
Coffee is now available before each service at 10.45am. For the time being we are going to continue to be socially aware and now ask that masks be worn (subject to further changes). We look forward to seeing you soon.
A very belated report from our Christmas events. Thanks to Ben, Robin, and several clever people who put up Christmas trees along the path, we were able to make the Churchyard look absolutely beautiful again. We held an outdoor Carol Service, which despite the cold, was enjoyable, helped by the mulled wine!
We asked for votes for a favourite tree
and the winning entry was the ‘22 Carrot Gold’ created by Sheila Pendred. Runner up was Stuart Booth’s ‘Mine’s a Pint’ Both were particularly original!! The collection made, was for the Tear Fund for Afghanistan. An amazing sum of £200 has duly been sent off!
Christmas morning’s service was lovely, enhanced by choir items, and from this, a collection of £100 was sent to the Kettering Street Pastors. This organisation assists homeless and troubled people at the weekend in Kettering town centre.
A change to your Denford Calendar
The Harvest Festival will now be on Sunday 9th October with Monday 10th being the Harvest Supper.
