St James Church will be holding an
AUCTION OF GIFTS AND PROMISES
on 28th September
If you have any good new items you would like to donate, please contact the number below. If you have a gift or talent for something that you can offer eg. mowing someone’s grass, cooking a dinner party for so many, offering a lift somewhere, the list is endless.
We also have the beautiful hand-made quilt that was on display during the Arts Festival made by Caroline and Susan.
There will be a catalogue of items available in September and tickets will be available very soon. There will be an opportunity to view the items on the morning of the Auction. Silent bids will be most welcome
Please support this great event to raise money for Church Funds.
Any questions - please ring Lindsey Burch 01832 730019
Ride+Stride is a sponsored bike ride or
walk in which people all over England walk or cycle between churches, exploring
and enjoying the countryside. The money they raise helps to save historic churches, chapels and meeting houses for future generations by helping to fund urgent repairs and the installation of modern facilities. Each year the event raises over £1 million pounds to help fund urgent repairs to historic churches and chapels.
In 2019 Ride+Stride for Churches takes place on Saturday 14th September. If you would like to take part this year please contact Ray Banner on 01832 730767 for more information and sponsorship forms.
