Squash
1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards squash team has come on leaps and bounds in recent years having established a strong foothold within the Army squash scene. Three individuals went to the Army Individual Squash Open earlier this year and all of them managed to return to the unit with an award.
Lt Spicer was awarded third place in the ladies’ category. Sgt Dell was awarded third place in the Over 35 category and Cpl Cooper was awarded the directors coin from Maj Gen Darrell Amison CBE for contributions to Army Squash.
The team also recently had a friendly but competitive match against Fakenham Squash Club in Norfolk (see group photo).
1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards and the British Army provides truly awesome opportunities for talented athletes. Two of our best players have just returned from a two-week squash tour of Boston, Massachusetts... civvies really would pay thousands for this!
