In September the annual re-enacte- ment of the “Isbuschenskij’s charge” and the related Russian campaign events (World War II) took place. 2023 marked 81 years since the last epic horse mounted charge in military history, for which the regimental standard was awarded the golden medal for military valour. During the ceremony was also celebrated the tenth anniversary of Savoia’s transforma- tion to its new prominent role as Recce component of the Airborne Brigade “Folgore”, which has been undergoing since September 2013.

named “Mangusta”, saw our
regiment perform OPFOR
duties while conducting counterinterdiction activ-
ities in a warfighting
context. “Savoia” units were successfully augmented by a QDGs team, while US,
mounted recce international community.
