‘The saying, hell hath no fury is most appropriate, don’t you think? I believe she would’ve got into our homes, one way or another,’ said Alice.
‘We still have to work out why Jake was spotted in Sunbury Avenue that evening. It was too much of a coincidence; it’s likely she arranged it. On the other hand, she could be suffering from a mental health issue and the notebook is just theoretical. It’s tragic that three people had to suffer because of her: Jake, Alan, and her sister, Louisa.’
‘Why include Louisa? Didn’t she invite her to come here?’ scoffed Alice.
‘I don’t know. Melanie claims Louisa is her accomplice and provided Cara’s address. Next on the list was ours,’ said Steve. ‘Officers will visit Miss Kilroy at the Academy to hear her side of the story.’
‘Gosh! I can’t imagine a teacher offering student data to anyone. How would she get access? Surely she’s sharp enough to know such behaviour would incriminate her if found out.’
‘Stuart Bannister has given the police CCTV footage from the site recording Jake’s movements and his mum’s visits. I’ll keep you posted if I hear anything else.’
‘Will Stuart get into trouble for allowing Jake to stay on his land?’
