E Battery covered a cumulative 22,387km in the month of June raising a well earned £1500 for First Trust.
Shortly following Summer Leave, E Battery’s Strike Troops deployed on EX ARIES STORM as part of the Offensive Sup- port Group. This two-week exercise on SPTA was a Brigade trial designed to develop future Organisation, Deployment and Oper- ating Procedures. The gun groups were dispersed to the point of discomfort, with gun positions sighted at opposite corners of their AMA. The exercised intentionally stress-tested the G4 chain, in order to consider how elements such as the QRF, Ammunition Control Points and Medical Plan might adapt to new deployment practices.
From Dartmoor to Donnington, Reading to Edinburgh and as far afield as Korea, the last year has seen ‘Shiny E’ adapt and over- come the challenges of a global pandemic to deploy, train and continue to serve the people of the United Kingdom.
