Cancer Research
Tim Stubbs, former publican of the Red Lion in Warmington, returned to the area on Friday 1st March at 7.30pm with his one man show “Reflections of Life”.
The show in Cotterstock Village Hall was a sell out; Tim was on excellent form and had the audience in hysterics as he regaled them with stories from his past, growing up in Thurlby
the son of the village baker. There was a quality raffle prize draw, with prizes kindly donated by local businesses and at the end, as is traditional in Cotterstock, the audience played a game of “heads and tails”. It was a great night of fun and laughter which raised a staggering £1015.25
for Cancer Research UK too. Villagers are very grateful to everyone who helped to in any way to make this event such a success.
