With the charity growing there was a lot to report and a lot to celebrate, and I can honestly say that without the excellent support from all the media, the charity would, undoubtedly, not have been so successful. All our events were given so much coverage – our committee members and general members and supporters were always so excited to have their photos in the paper and it was lovely for them to be acknowledged in this way. It was also lovely to see the name ‘Crazy Hats’ emblazoned on billboards around the county when we had big events on or there was good news to be read.
As Editors, they often wrote about Crazy Hats in their ‘Opinion’ column and many they wrote were very touching:
