R+D In Festive Attire
Standards which, following the decision to open up all roles to females by 2018, will reshape the whole employment and physiological standards for the Army. Following on from this study, the remainder of the Army will undergo a similar process which long term, may alter the physical tness tests. A long study into the utility of wearable technology for the PTIs has been undertaken along with a review of the physical activity direction we as a Corps issue. More on this will follow later in the year when the RAPTC Training System is rolled out across the Corps. A large portion of the year has been taken up with nalising the funding process through Commercial Branch at Army HQ for the next cohort of RAPTCIs to undertake BSc (Hons) study for 17-18. This has been a complicated and time consuming process but hopefully we are now in a position to have an enduring commitment. The nal and largest project this year has been to help shape the content for the RAPTC Commandant’s Conference which this year had the theme ‘Soldier Physical Performance’. The two days were a great success and will hopefully set the template for the future.
