With great content, we can enhance the perception of the Corps legitimacy and professionalism. We all know that our RAPTCIs are achieving great feats, so please continue to inform the TDT of ce and we will get it publicised, sharing is caring...
Beyond DSAT

Italian Hitch was a Type 3 AT Rock Climbing expedition to the Dolomites. The expedition took place during 17-31 July 16. The aim was to expose the students (who were AAPTIs from
various units), to controlled risks within a challenging environment, in order to develop leadership and teamwork whilst also building cohesion between RAPTCIs and AAPTIs. The expedition provided students with the Rock Single Pitch Foundation (RSF) quali cation and continuation training to progress further in the JSAT Rock Climbing scheme. Italian Hitch was a huge success culminating in an epic accent of Dibona; a 15 pitch climb in the Sass Pordoi region.
The future:
Maj (MAA) Rab Lundie is assigned to FTC with his replacement Maj (MAA) Chris Deed arriving in Apr 17. The department wishes Maj Rab all the very best in his new assignment and are looking forward to a new brush arriving.
SSgt (SSI) Chris Williams was assigned to BATUS in Mar 17 and his replacement SSgt (SSI) John Marshall arrived in Apr 17; again the department wishes Chris and his family all the best with his move to Canada.
I am aware that TDT is not an environment for everyone, the work however is challenging but extremely rewarding. The perception that the “candle is burnt at both ends” does not apply, as the

environment is relaxed with the ability to get away to play sport and conduct AT always available. If you are considering a position in TDT within the Headquarters there has never been a better time with the Corps moving forward in a positive way and TDT being at the forefront of change...
