ASPT Attendance at the The Iraq and Afghanistan Memorial in London, Thursday 9th March 2017
A Memorial marking the contributions of British Military Personnel and UK civilians, including Government employees, agency personnel and contractors, over a 25 year period (1990- 2015) of operations in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq, has been erected in Victoria Embankment Gardens, London.
Her Majesty’s Government marked the occasion with a Drumhead Service on Horse Guards Parade, followed by the formal unveiling of the Memorial at Victoria Embankment Gardens, and a reception co-hosted by the Ministry of Defence and The Royal British Legion.
HQ RAPTC, ASPT and fellow Corps Members had the privilege of attending the Memorial on Thursday 9th March 2017. The Chaplain of the Fleet, The Venerable Ian Wheatley welcomed the
