for him as he always likes to be rst across the line. Anyway, in slower time the remainder of the HQ plan to be insitu by Oct 16, with the Trg Offr re-assigned and a new man in the chair (newly commissioned Capt (MAA) ‘Sweaty‘

with its problems, maybe I will cover that subject further in the bar another time.
This is where I draw to a close, as I look to my new E2 post in HQ BFG G1 (Oct 16) working in support of the drawdown of BFG and Project Barrona taking me to my run-out date. It might have always been the case and as some might have said; ‘ If anyone will be the last soldier standing in BFG it will be Phil McGregor‘ well I actually would never have believed it, but that might just be the case – watch this space. In closing, a big thank you to all the staff who work at ATFC and the associated Wings, what you all do is fantastic and it makes it an absolute pleasure being part of the team. Special thanks to Col Simon, Maj (Retd) Robby Tuck-Brown, Ann, Dougie and family, Stephen (RQ), Sarah (CC), Sam (her fun kids and Rocky), Len, Andy and not forgetting the cleaner Ingrid. It‘s been a great journey and thoroughly enjoyable working with you all.
JOINT SERVICE ADVENTUROUS TRAINING WING CYPRUS (JSATWC)
Capt (MAA) S Semple RAPTC – Of cer Commanding
The Adventurous Training Centre in Cyprus has had another impressive year in which we have undergone some signi cant changes to the way business is conducted. On 1 Apr 16, the organisation re-subordinated from OPCOM HQ ATG(A) to HQ ATFC which has recently returned from Germany to be relocated with HQ ATG in Upavon. The transition has been relatively pain free and other than the name change and C2 arrangements, the centre remains the same. As with all MBS articles, the ebb and ow of staff has continued and by the time this article is published, I will have left the sun and warm weather behind and departed for Adventurous Training Centre (Inverness), being replaced by Capt (MAA) Billy Young RAPTC. Sgt (SI) Liam Crutchley has arrived fresh from the Resilience Margin after completing Class One Trg, which is a welcome addition to the team. Perhaps the single most signi cant changeover in this period has been the re-rolling of the Centre Warrant Of cer which focussed on the J1/4 element of the Centre, to the creation of the Centre Chief Instructor which now focuses on the J1/7 aspect and the formal assurance piece. WO2 (QMSI) B Cannon RAPTC has come fresh from JSMTC in Jan 16, and is performing as if the role was made for him. A complete orbat of JSATW (C) Staff is as follows:
WO2 (QMSI) G Osborne RAPTC handing over as Centre Warrant Of cer to WO2 (QMSI) B Cannon RAPTC
Most of the staff have been able to get away and participate in Joint Staff Trg with their peers from different AT Centres. The Parachute Wing staff spent most of Jan 16 in California throwing themselves out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft, whilst the Sub
