              8.2. USB Drive Import

This method of downloading data requires the measurement data to have been
downloaded on to a USB drive by inserting it into the front panel of the monitor. Note that
while the process of importing the data is the same regardless of monitoring technology or
the exact type of monitor, some monitors have different rules regarding the data import.
                                       Note:
GuardII+ monitors can import data into a blank database, building the
                                       database structure as necessary.
Other monitors require a pre-made database to import data.

                                       Note:
Refer to the User Manual of the specific monitor for details on the USB
                                       stick download for that monitor.

To import the data, insert the USB stick into the computer or copy the ‘IRIS’ directory
from the USB stick to a location on the computer. Press the ‘Import USB Data’ button on
the ribbon; it isn’t necessary for a specific database node to be selected in the tree. IAM
will ask you to browse to the location; press ‘Browse’ and then select the ‘IRIS’ directory in
                       that location and press ‘OK’.
