Address Alert Notes
37124 TV Measurement Status The measurement status for TV:
0 = No data is available
1 = OK
2 = Signal is clipped
37125 TV Measurement Quality The measurement quality for TV:
0 = No data is available
1 = No Alert detected
5 = High-Current Alert detected
37126 TV Measured Current The measured current from TV in RMS.
This is a float value.
37128 TV Measured Current The measured current from TV in peak-to-
peak.
This is a float value.
8.3. Monitoring SM Summary Numbers
In GuardII+ the Modbus data provides an indication of the severity of shaft voltage and
current on the asset. However, there are conditions where this is not possible, such as:
• The initial measurement cycle after booting up has not completed yet.
• The input signal is clipped.
• There was a hardware failure.
If any of the above conditions occur, the measurement results will not be valid. To know
if the measurement results is valid, the measurement status for each input must be checked.
If the measurement status is reported as “1”, then the measurement results for that channel
are correct.
NOTE:
If the measurement status is consistently showing a value other than “1”,
this may indicate a problem. Refer to Section 7 for troubleshooting
instructions and/or consult Iris Power LP Technical Support for assistance.
8.4. Modbus Slave Timing
NOTE:
As described in Section 4.2, GuardII+ updates the SM Modbus data
registers after every measurement cycle, which occurs every 30 minutes;
polling the monitor for SM data more often than that is just wasting network
bandwidth.
Each monitoring technology in the GuardII+ Series 4208 Platform has its
own measurement cycle; so If the monitor has other monitoring
technologies installed, those other technologies may provide Modbus
updates more rapidly.
To achieve the best performance when polling GuardII+’s SM Modbus data registers, the
following configurations of the polling system should be used:
