Interjection
An interjection is a word used to express
emotion. It is often followed by an
exclamation point (!). Such as:
Wow!
Yike!
Yeay
Yippee
etc.
Examples:
Wow! What a wonderful work of art.
Alas! That is really sad.
Yippee! We won the match.
