Soroka's Clinical The Clinical Research Center, founded in 2009,
fosters cooperation with leading academic
Research Center institutions across the globe, and is currently
involved in over 300 clinical research projects with
more than 120 clinicians at Soroka. These efforts
and the Negev have resulted thus far in some 250 publications.
In addition to providing state-of-the-art research
infrastructure for a broad range of studies, the
Biobank center is currently conducting ground-breaking
research on environmental health and the effects
of cannabis on health.
The center has initiated the establishment of the
first population biobank in Israel, where biodata
from around the country (biomarkers, genomes,
microbiomes, and more) will be combined with data
on environmental exposure and health. The Clinical
Research Center is also involved in many research
projects in the areas of biomedical devices and
pharmaceuticals.
