The Clinical Research Center, founded in 2009, fosters Soroka's Clinical
cooperation with leading academic institutions across Research Center
the globe and is currently involved in over 300 clinical and the Negev
research projects with more than 120 clinicians Biobank
at Soroka. Thus far, these efforts have resulted in
more than 800 publications per year. In addition to
providing state-of-the-art research infrastructure for a
broad range of studies, Soroka stands at the forefront
of medical progress in a national and international
level and is continuously upgrading and enhancing its
research capabilities.
The Clinical Research Center has established the
first population biobank in Israel, where biodata
from around the country (biomarkers, genomes,
microbiomes, and more) will be combined with data on
environmental exposure and health. It is also involved
in many research projects in the areas of biomedical
devices and pharmaceuticals.
To continue to advance in the field of medical
research and innovation, Soroka is currently
establishing the Andre Cohen Deloro Medical
Research Institute with Ben-Gurion University of
the Negev.
The Institute will help secure Soroka’s position as a
world leader in research and innovation, as well as
the advancement of personalized medicine and the
study, prevention, and curing of diseases. Focusing on
the game-changing promise of digital health, Soroka’s
Center for Clinical Research will provide physicians
and researchers with state-of the- art laboratories, an
invaluable trove of unrivaled medical data, and access
to the Institute’s biobank and resources.
