The Trauma Unit
Soroka’s Trauma Unit is one of the busiest in Israel,
with complete Level 1 trauma capabilities second to
none. Our clinical results rank highest in the country.
Soroka serves as the main trauma treatment center
for the Israel Defense Forces in the Negev and along
the Gaza Strip, a role we are regretfully called upon to
fulfill far too often.
As part of our life-saving mission, our intensive care
units are prepared to care for the victims of the most
complex traumas and support them on their way to
rehabilitation and recovery.
Maternity Center
This center leads the country in terms of the number
of babies delivered each year.
In 2018, more than 17,000 new babies were born
here. Thanks to the extraordinary amount of activity
at the center, its clinicians are the most experienced
and professional in the country.
There is almost no medical event in the realms
of delivery and maternity that these dedicated
professionals have not handled multiple times. We
plan to expand our significant capabilities in prenatal
diagnosis and treatment with the development of
pregestational diagnosis and intrauterine procedures.
