The Negev Autism spectrum disorder is a developmental
disability diagnosed with increasing frequency.
Autism Soroka is uniquely placed to promote research in this
field, as it serves as the sole medical center for a large
and diverse population.
Center The Negev Autism Center has created the first
regional autism database in the Middle East. It
includes clinical, behavioral, genetic, and brain
imaging data, and will help identify the sources of
autism and develop potential treatments.
The center, which operates in collaboration with
researchers at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev,
has become Israel's national center for research
on autism.
