                      1. A pronoun takes the place of a
                        noun or noun phrase. Subject    elena enjoys driving. she uses her car a lot.
                        pronouns are used as subjects.

                                                        Your suitcase arrived. it’s in your room.
                      2. Object pronouns are used as
                        objects of verbs or objects of   Object of Verb: I bought a new bike. Do you like it?
                        prepositions.
                                                        Object of Preposition: This ticket is for José. I bought it for him.
