A sentence fragment is missing an important part of a sentence, such as a
subject or verb.

✗ Waited on our roof for help. (no subject)
✓ It was covering everything in its path.
✗ Everything in its path. (no subject and no verb)
Make sure each of your sentences has a subject and a verb.

time clauses. Then use the checklist to assess your work.
