                                           Compared with the big, clunky American cars of that era, these English
                                           speedsters  were  light,  nimble,  sporty,  and  sexy  ?   and  they  quickly
                                           found a following.

                                           The  Sports  Car  Club of  America  soon  began  organizing  road  races  at
                                           tracks  like  Watkins  Glen  and  Lime  Rock.  On  the  West  Coast,  the
                                           California Sports Car Club led the way on tracks from Santa Barbara to
                                           Willow Springs.

                                           Chicago-based Stanley H. ?Wacky? Arnolt, like Sidney Allard, was one of
