And What t he Heck is That ? PGO is a boutique French manufacturer established in 1985 by the
Prévôt brothers brothers , Gilles and Olivier. They started by building

replica cars and by 2000 debuted a car built from the ground up, the
Speedster II . It looked remarkably similar to a Porsche 356 Speedster,
except with modern technology and a plush interior. The firm is known
for building an exclusive series of sports cars for discerning buyers .

This Hemera, which appeared in Shelbyville still wearing its import tag,
                                           is a mid-engine car, powered by a 181 HP turbo charged, 1.6 L, 4
cylinder engine produced by the BMW group. Featuring a 6 speed
manual transmission, it weighs 2,200 pounds and can get down and
                                           deliver the goods.

In 2005 PGO became a part of the Al Sayer Group, a Kuwaiti Holding
Company that has a controlling interest in the firm. Flush with cash, the
company opened a flagship store in Paris in 2010 and builds its cars
in a single factory. ( You can still see the Porsche influence in the front
view of the Hemera but the rear view has its own unique aspect . )
