My MG TF came off the
assembly line on
November 4th, 1953. Little
is known about its history
until 2017 when
restoration began in
Jacksonville, Florida.
The car was partially
restored when sold to a
gentleman in North
Carolina who completed
the restoration in March 2019. I bought the car off EBay in September 2021.
This is my fourth TF. I bought my first one in August 1966 and drove it from Washington, DC to
Tampa, FL. After four flat tires and a warning by a NC highway patrolman for going too slow on
Hwy 301 (35 mph), l arrived in Tampa after three days.
When I began searching for a TF in early 2021 the first place I went was Hemmings. The first car
that came up was the car I had bought in 1966.
Sadly, it had been used as a parts car and was too far gone for restoration. Crazy.
