Q. Are there favorite foods or holiday traditions from
t
your early years that you miss and can? find easily in
the USA?

Q. 2022 is the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Year and NBCC before recently retiring.
is an official site for a Big Jubilee Lunch, which may
seem rather strange since there are more native
Americans in the club than Brits. Do you have thoughts
on the Jubilee Year?
A. I?m not personally interested in the details of the
t
Royal family, so I don? understand why some
American?s would be so obsessed. I do keep up with
what?s going on in the UK and enjoy British
programming on TV. I think when American?s look
around the world for similar cultures, the first one
we see that we most easily relate to is the UK.
Q. While circumspection is considered a character trait
for people from the UK, Is there anything ?knees up?
about you that would surprise people if they were to
know it? Above: Not your typical utilitarian garage, Dave and
his daughter melded whimsy with tradition in
A. No, I?m not that interesting! Or was that classic
creating a place that makes you happy to be there.
British understatement?
Q. Sorry but have to ask--How do you feel about the
entire James Bond hysteria in the US and did you have a
favorite James Bond or a favorite movie from the series?
A. The Bond franchise is just another example of
how the UK continues to contribute globally. Corny,
tongue- in- cheek humour, and action is an unusual
combination, but they make it work.
Q. Will we see you at the Jubilee Lunch on June 5th?
A. Wouldn't miss it. I'll be there.
