Grange Halls

Throughout the nation, Grange halls were looked upon as
community centers. In fact, the very concept and
philosophy of the Grange emphasized this. The thousands
of Grange Halls that were built across the country were
considered signs of a progressive community.

Copake Grange is the only Grange in Columbia County t
fortunate to have its original Hall in active use. The other
Grange halls have been sold or fallen on hard times. The
stark, upright beauty of Grange Hall and the important
role it has played in the community qualified it to be
placed on the National Register of Historic Places. In
2019, a plaque was installed in front of Grange Hall to
commemorate this achievement.

Grange Hall Rental Fees

Parties/Events
$75 per day (up to 8 hrs.) and
ending no later than 11 pm
$125 per day with use of kitchen
facilities
Workshops
$50 per half day (3 - 4 hrs)
$75 per full day (up to 8 hrs.)
Performances
$50 flat fee plus 15% of
box office
Rehearsals
$25 per half day (up to 4 hours)
$50 per full day (up to 8 hours)
