CURRENT PROJECTS:
• Attended the RuralTalks Climate Change in South Huron presentation in Blyth on October 23rd - became a part of the panel
• A lunch time Eco Exeter group has formed
• CHSS, SMDCVI, GDCI are coming back
to SHDHS on Nov. 5th to share and collaborate ideas, SHDHS also brought in a guest speaker (Reimagine Waste Co.)
• Working more with the high schools mentioned above
• Reusable water bottle campaign starting for both the school and community
• Recycling program for markers, disposable razors, etc. in the works
• Tree planting alongside the soccer field
• Letters written to the school cafeteria
• Water refill station installation in the spring
• Nominated for a South Huron Business and Community Excellence Award in the “Community Advancement” category.
• Grade 12 chemistry students are surveying the community and asking for support from local service groups
• A group of grade 10 students will be reaching out to local elementary schools

• Continued partnership with Hansen’s Your Independent Grocer
• Waiting to hear the results from a grant application - RBC Youth Initiative Grant through the Grand Bend Community Fund. This would allow us to start our own “pop up” shop.
