Safe Food Handling Certification
On Monday, October 7 the Foods classes and Health and Wellness SHSM students were given the opportunity to receive the Safe Food Handling Certification. Some students took the course for per- sonal interest or employment reasons while others were given the opportunity to complete one of their elective certifications for their Health and Wellness SHSM. The day was a great success!
A Certification Day for Gr 11 and Gr 12 SHSM students was held on Nov. 6. This day was an opportunity for students to receive their elective certifications for their SHSM. Certification was achieved in these areas:
• Fire Extinguisher Safety and Use
• Boating License
• Injury Wrapping and Taping
• Mental Health Awareness
• Stress Techniques
• Customer Service
• Conflict Resolution
