Considering you are what powers our success, we want to ensure you have access to benefits that protect your assets and support your health and wellbeing. In 2017, we had a number of changes to our benefits in order to give you a greater selection to fit your needs. In 2018, we will continue our commitment to offering a great benefits program with the majority of the costs being paid by ABC Company.
As we look to continue our highly competitive benefits offering, we are also faced with the ongoing challenge of rising healthcare costs year over year. Nationally, healthcare costs continue to rise faster than inflation and our plan is no exception. After significant market research and negotiations, our plan will face a double digit increase in 2018. Although employee payroll costs will increase, ABC Company will continue to pay for the majority of the healthcare related costs, including annual trend increases.
Choose Well. I encourage you to learn as much as possible about the plans and other program features described in this guide so you can make the best enrollment decisions and take full advantage of your benefits. In addition to this guide, you will continue to have access to “Alex” tool to help you make informed decisions based on your specific needs. This is your opportunity to explore your options, make elections and be ready to take action for the coming year.
Live Well. Starting in 2018, we plan to launch several wellness campaigns geared to providing you and your family with the tools and the resources to live healthier. There will be various campaigns such as Lunch & Learns on health related topics, monthly health awareness campaigns, weight management programs such as RALLY, and on-site clinics for annual flu shots/physical examinations. We will also provide useful tips on how to help control everyone’s costs by using the benefits more effectively and efficiently.
Be Well. Making informed decisions about healthcare and choosing healthy habits will have a significant impact on your ability to improve your overall wellbeing while helping to control the rising cost of healthcare.
