Exempt employees will deem to work forty (40) hours per workweek. The maximum number of sick hours that may be accrued at any given time is forty-eight (48) hours. Employees may not use accrued sick hours until they have been employed for ninety (90) days. Employees may not use more than twenty-four (24) hours of sick hours in an anniversary year. Unused sick hours will carry over from year to year, but not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours. Sick hours must be used in one (1) hour increments. Accrued but unused sick hours will not be paid out upon termination of employment. Purpose for sick leave shall be done in accordance with the requirements of applicable law and payments shall be made no later than the payday for the next regular payroll period after the sick leave was taken and submitted in SkechForce.
California – (All Oakland and San Francisco employees Only) All full-time, part-time and temporary/seasonal employees who work in Oakland at least two hours in a workweek, in the City of Oakland and San Francisco are eligible to accrue paid sick leave. Accrual begins upon hire. Employees will accrue one (1) hour of sick leave for every thirty (30) hours actually worked. Exempt employees will deem to work forty (40) hours per workweek. The maximum number of sick hours that may be accrued at any given time is seventy-two (72) hours. Employees may not use accrued sick hours until they have been employed for ninety (90) days. Unused sick hours will carry over from year to year, but not to exceed seventy-two (72) hours. Sick hours must be used in one (1) hour increments. Accrued but unused sick hours will not be paid out upon termination of employment. Purpose for sick leave shall be done in accordance with the requirements of applicable law and payments shall be made no later than the payday for the next regular payroll period after the sick leave was taken and submitted in SkechForce.
AZ, Los Angeles City-CA, CT, Chicago-IL, Cook County-IL, MA, MI, New York State, ME, Colorado, Nevada, Philadelphia-PA, Pittsburgh-PA, Puerto Rico, Dallas-TX, WA – All full-time, part-time and temporary/ seasonal employees who perform work in the above Cities/States are eligible to accrue paid sick leave. Please refer to Skechers Sick Leave Policies for
the above Cities and States for more detail located on The Source or SKXconnect.
Any legislative Sick Leave Policy implemented by Cities or States will supersede the Sick Leave General Policy, Employees will follow Cities and State Sick Leave Policy as some policies will come out during the year.
SICK LEAVE BENEFITS
General policy for all full-time employees not referenced in any of the above States or Cities.
All regular full-time employees will accrue forty (40) hours of sick leave per anniversary year. Sick time is accrued on a per-pay-period basis at the rate of 1.54 hours per period of active employment. Any unused sick hours will carry over from year to year. The maximum number of sick hours at any given time is 120 hours.
Sick hours must be used in one (1) hour increments. Accrued but unused sick hours will not be paid out upon termination of employment. Purpose for sick leave shall be done in accordance with the requirements of applicable law and payments shall be made no later than the payday for the next regular payroll period after the sick leave was taken and submitted in SkechForce.
PERSONAL DAY
Employees must submit time off using SkechForce System.
Regular full-time employees will accrue eight (8) hours of personal time per year upon completion of their 90-day introductory period. Personal time is accrued on a per-pay-period basis at the rate of 0.62 hours per period of active employment, up to 8 hours per year. Any unused personal hours will carry over from year to year. The maximum number of personal hours at any given time is 16 hours. All personal hours must be requested in advance.
