Employees with existing leaves can call The Standard’s Intelligent Voice Recognition system (IVR) 24/7 to:
• Add more time to an existing leave • Check claim status

Intake is a term used in the insurance industry to describe the process of collecting your data, forms and other key pieces of information required to begin a Leave
of Absence request claim.
You have 24-hour access to The Standard’s mobile-optimized Absence Portal. Here’s what you can do:
• Initiate a leave of absence
• Check leave balances
• Check the status of a leave
• Request more time to an existing leave

Note: First-time users will need to create an account. The webpage has a step-by-step guide on how to do this.
After your initial intake, you will be assigned a Leave number. Always use your Leave number to identify yourself when contacting The Standard.
