Ÿ 1/4 cup chopped pecans or other nuts                         Ÿ 1 cup all-purpose flour
Ÿ 2 Tablespoons butter                                         Ÿ 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Ÿ 2 Tablespoons maple syrup                                    Ÿ 1/2 tsp baking powder

                                                               Using oven gloves, carefully open the oven door and place the
                                                               baking sheets in the preheated oven. (This is a job for older
                                                               children or a parent.) Bake until the cookies are very light golden
                                                               brown, about 10 minutes.

                                                               Using pot holders, remove the baking sheets from the oven. Set
                                                               each on a rack to cool. When the cookies are cooled, remove
                                                               them ta cooling rack with a spatula.

                                                               Ÿ 230g cooked pasta of choice
                                                               Ÿ 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
                                                               Ÿ 1 cup whole milk
                                                               Ÿ 3/4 teaspoon salt
                                                               Ÿ 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

                                                               Directions

                                                               Place pasta, cheese, milk, salt and pepper into a microwave
                                                               safe bowl. Stir to mix. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and
                                                               microwave for 3 minutes. Stir and microwave for an
                                                               additional 2 minutes. Stir until creamy and smooth. Serve
                                                               immediately.
