Mangwanani recently had the honour of treating the beautiful But boy was in for a treat!
Maki Mokhitli to a treatment. Maki is a South African actress
well- known for her starring role as Mathapelo Tlholoe in the When I arrived at Mangwanani I was greeted by friendly, smiling
sitcom Majakathata Records ,and her lead role in Keeping Score. faces AND I even got a hug! I was offered a beverage and
something to nibble on but I was too excited to eat (even though I
Maki has also starred in 7de Laan and Isidingo. You may have still hadn't had breakfast yet).
also seen her on a few TV commercials for Royal Baking Powder,
Holland, Soft 'n Free and Mr Muscle. After I changed into a gown and slippers I was led to the "healing
room". The gentle music in there instantly put me at ease. I
imagined I was in an enchanted forest lying by the waterfall,
listening to birds singing.
My "healer's" name was Lebohang. She was gentle but firm as she
slowly massaged all my aches and knots from my fragile body.
She did a Full Body massage, but I absolutely loved it when she
gently rubbed the heated stones up and down my back and neck! I
believe that's when my headache left because when she was done,
there was no trace of it.
She worked on my whole body for an hour but I was so
disappointed when she said she was done because I wanted
MORE! I could have rested there the whole day if it were
possible. But alas, all good things come to an end too!
Once I got back into my own clothes I was served a hot cup of tea
and a slice of yummy vanilla cake! While I was sipping and
nibbling, I kept hoping they'd offer me another hour on the
massage bed! Nothing wrong with hoping right...?
My experience was a heavenly, beautiful and healing one that
NEEDS to be repeated!”
Many happy thanks

Maki tells us about her experience at Mangwanani Boutique Spa
at The Pivot:
“After finishing an eight-month contract which turned into ten
months of 12-hour days, my body had gained aches and pains I'd
learned to cope with, and had been “crying” for a rest and a
massage for a while.
The weekend prior to my Mangwanani treatment I'd had the flu
and the cold, rainy weather was certainly not my friend!
Thankfully by the day of my massage I was feeling better.
Unfortunately, when I woke up my whole body was aching from
recent flu and insomnia, and I had a headache that started from my
shoulders…
