After work experience, students need to:
Seek feedback from the work experience provider
Thank the work experience provider
School Responsibilities
Provide a Program of Workplace Preparation (the 2021 WHS booklet)
Ensure students can access the necessary documentation, including the 2021 WHS booklet
Ensure all the necessary forms have been filled in correctly, and provide copies of the Workplace
Learning Agreement form to the student, their parents/caregivers and the host employer
Determine whether a student’s proposed work experience site is suitable (i.e. safe)
Give students a feedback form for their host employer to complete at the end of the student’s
work experience
Contact the host employer and the student during their work experience, by phone or a site visit,
and keep records of these phone class and visits
File all paperwork, including the 2021 WHS booklet, in students’ files
Respond appropriately to on-site accidents and incidents involving the student
Please note that it is not the school’s responsibility to
organise work experience for students
