               BENCHARKING ACTIVITIES

Benchmarking is a comparison of performance measures between
similar entities against recognized standardized. It is one of several tools that
libraries can use to measure performance. Management expert Peter Drucker

called benchmarking “critical” to good government and nonprofit
management. The point of benchmarking is to identify internal opportunities
               for improvement.
