Dumingag Library Main Library

Mrs. Erma S. Ambalong is a license librarian and graduated Master of

Library and Information Science at Saint Columban College, Pagadian City on
October 2015. She finished her undergraduate studies at Mindanao State

University, Marawi City on April 4, 1998. She started to work at JH Cerilles

State College as librarian on August 1, 2010 up to present. Her worked

experience to several private academic institutions shaped her to become
competent and skilled professional. As a librarian, she has developed

leadership skills that helped her in managing the library.

The JHCSC Dumingag Library started a humble beginning, occupying
only a two-classroom size library of the SEDP building. Just like any librarian’s

dream of having a separate building, a proposal was submitted to the

administration and approved by them that a separate library should be build
to cater to the intellectual need of the academic community and to house the

increasing number of collection resources. On 2016, a library plan was

approved it is a 2-storey building with AVR amounting to P7.5 million under

the administration of President Edgardo Rosales. Two years after, the College

Library Building was completed, and on September 19, 2018, it was
inaugurated with the presence of Congw. Aurora E. Cerilles.

The two-storey library building houses the Audio-visual Room, SOCJE
Dean’s Office, and Stock Room at the first floor. The Office of the College

Librarian, the Library, and the e-lib are located at the 2 floor.

Agricultural Library
The Agricultural Library started its operation long before it became JH

Cerilles State College. The library is located at Barangay Dapiwak, Dumingag,

Zamboanga del Sur. The library has a capacity of 50 persons at one time. The

library is opened Monday- Saturday from 8AM- 5PM, no noon-break.
