Considering all that has happened in the last twelve months, AMT has seen an impressive number of
new product launches and upgrades to existing products and services. In fact, it’s hard to think of
another year in which so many new things have happened including certain internal improvements that
might be invisible to the outside world. The list of these things includes:
                   • Migration to a new upgraded Learning Management System (through our vendor
                       WebCourseworks)
                   • A new terminal server environment including moving from Windows 7 to 10, moving to MS
Azure and utilization of SharePoint/ OneDrive
                   • Major website redesign
                   • New internal phone system, to include ability of staff to take phone calls at home via their
                       computers
                   • Brand new look magazine PULSE replacing the former Events and CE magazines. I think the new
magazine has a real first-class look to it and content to match. You naturally might think I’m
biased in saying that, but I can point to the fact that it has won a design award.
                   • Launching a first-ever National Phlebotomists Recognition week.
                   • Launching Online Communities on the AMT website
                   • Continuing the development of our new Patient Care Tech exam-based certification
                   • Continued development of new Certificate programs and other educational resources.

In a typical year we might accomplish maybe one or two of the above moves forward but to do all of
them, and in a very atypical year like this, is something. And I thank all the staff and member-
volunteers who have made all that happen, as well as the outside partners and vendors we’ve found
to help us. I get to report to you on all this, but the heavy lifting is done by a lot of other very
talented people that we are fortunate to have working on AMT’s behalf.

In closing, I look forward to next summer when we will all be together again in person in Norfolk,
Virginia. As a Wisconsin man born and bred, I’m particularly looking forward to having the chance
to see and visit the great battleship named after the Badger State: the mighty USS Wisconsin now
docked there in Norfolk as a museum ship and just steps away from our hotel.

Take care everyone! We’re all in these crazy times together and somehow, we’ll all get through it
                   together.
