NOMINATING COMMITTEE REPORT

The 2020 Nominating Committee had its first meeting via teleconference on December 10, 2019
as per the Bylaws mandate to meet prior to December 31. Pamela Kriegel volunteered to be the
               recording secretary.

The committee discussed our duties and responsibilities. We were asked to each submit two to
three possible nominees for each seat up for election. These names were compiled by Secretary Kriegel
for discussion at our next meeting. There are two laboratorian seats (MT/MLT/CLMA/COLT) and two
medical assisting seats (RMA/CMAS/RPT/RDA) available this year.
The AMT office will assure that the names placed for discussion are members in good standing.
The next meeting was scheduled for January 15, 2020.

At the January 15 meeting the committee narrowed the list of prospective candidates.
Secretary Kriegel was charged with contacting the prospective candidates via email to determine
whether they were interested in running for a Board position. The next meeting was scheduled for
               February 12 , 2020.

interested candidates to the committee members. At the February 12 meeting the committee
discussed the possible candidates and the incumbents seeking reelection. The next meeting was set for
February 27, 2020. At this meeting there were no new interested candidates.

The Committee narrowed the list to two MT/MLT and two RMA candidates as prospective non-
incumbent candidates. The AMT office will contact these candidates as well as the incumbents for them
to submit their applications and a photo for publication in the AMT PULSE. We also discussed possible
questions for the candidates. These were chosen with one of the questions to also be sent to the
candidates for them to prepare a 2-3-minute response at the Meet the Candidates session during the
               convention.

A very special thank you to our Executive Director, Chris Damon for arranging the conference
calls and his helpful assistance at each meeting.
               Respectfully submitted,
