Dr. Blicharz was an Associate Professor in the Department of Nursing at The College of New Jersey until November 1,
2020. She joined the faculty of Trenton State College, now known as TCNJ, in the late 1970’s. She received her
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University, her Master of Science in Nursing from The University of
Pennsylvania and her EdD from Rutgers University. She had prior teaching experience at The University of
Pennsylvania Hospital. She holds certification in medical-surgical nursing.
Dr. Blicharz served in many leadership roles at TCNJ-department chair, level coordinator, curriculum coordinator, and
twice as interim Dean. She has served as a mentor to novice faculty and lent her educational expertise in curriculum
design and assessment, especially important during accreditation.
