                    The All-Seeing Satellite

A sneak-peek into one of the most intriguing places in the Middle East
today: the Tartus port in Syria; first images uncovered here, by the new
intelligence satellite Ofek eleven. Ten months ago it was launched and
damaged during its placement in orbit. The defense community was able to
partially overcome the problem, and the photographing satellite is
working, working well apparently. A visit to the satellite center of the
Intelligence Division, deep underground, a small, unique, team, mostly
girls by the way, operating Israel’s intelligence satellites. “Here we’re
seeing photos coming from Iran, Syria, Gaza and Sinai, in the coming day,
hour, twenty-four hours. We’re also the ones preparing the command that
comes to the satellite and actually guide them how to operate in order to do
what we actually planned it to do.” So they wander over the Middle East,
making sure Iran stands by the nuclear agreement, that no one is building a
new reactor somewhere or digging something under the ground. For the
satellite is secretive, nobody on the other side knows that someone, far
away in space, just visited them.
