Playing in Qatar
(You) usually go with school to places close by like Eilat or the Hermon,
but the handball team from the Katzir school in Holon went to a place
much farther away. The outstanding team qualified to the world
championships and went to play in Qatar, a country that Israel doesn’t
have diplomatic relations with. Not all the members went, but those who
did were very excited. In Qatar they saw the tall buildings and great
wealth, and won the bronze medal too. After they came back from Qatar
the team’s appetite to succeed in a big way just started [lit. started].
