There’s Always a First Time
Adi Bar Natan loves the sea from a young age, and this is what brings her to be the first woman
lifeguard in Israel’s beaches. Usually, lifeguards in Israel are men. This is a job that requires a lot of
physical strength, and many hours of work. It isn’t easy when you have two daughters waiting for
you at home, like Adi does. What’s also hard about this job is the Israeli crowd – that doesn’t
always like to do what it’s told. Adi’s post is post number one at the Rishon Letzion beach, where
(they’re) hoping for more female lifeguards in the future.
