Returning to Sinai
Salim has a beach shack site in Sinai, close to the border with Israel. In
recent weeks he’s (been) brushing up on his Hebrew and having hundreds
of Israelis over - youngsters, senior citizens, families with children. The
Israeli tourism is coming back to Sinai big time - three thousand people a
day come in and out of Sinai lately. The Bedouins are happy that the
Israelis are returning, the Israeli security agencies not so much, but the
beauty of the place, as well as the cheap prices, are very attractive for
tourists. “It’s safe, like going to Jerusalem,” said one of them.
