The Church of Bones

In the city of Kutná Hora, near Prague, there’s a church with ornaments
(made) of real human bones - the Sedlec church. The story of the church
begins in the land of Israel. During the crusades, one crusader takes a bit of
earth from Jerusalem, returns to Europe, and puts the earth at Kutná Hora’s
small cemetery. Many people want to be buried in ground from Jerusalem,
the cemetery gets very big, and one of the monks starts to put the bones in
all sorts of shapes in the church, in order to remind people that everyone
dies in the end. Thousands of tourists come to Kutná Hora each year, in
order to visit the church and get a selfie with the skeletons.
