                                           Mike Pence in Israel

A small and short reception opened the visit of the United States’ Vice

President Mike Pence in Israel a short while ago. Vice President Pence and
his wife Karen landed in Ben Gurion airport after a short visit in Jordan

and Egypt. Preparations for this visit took a long time and included strict
practicing for the passing of the (Vice) President’s convoy through the

capital’s streets, especially to the Wailing Wall, where Pence will go on

Tuesday for a visit defined as private, though this privacy will be
accompanied by reporters and photographers from almost a hundred media

outlets. Pence and his team will stay at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem,

where they’re already practiced, of course. Preparations are completing at
the Knesset as well, the Vice President will speak in front of an almost full

assembly, except Knesset Members of the Joint List who view the

Christian, conservative and Evangelical Pence as the one who pushed
Trump to the Jerusalem announcement. The Vice President will not meet

Abu-Mazen and the senior officials of the (Palestinian) Authority, as part

of the Palestinian boycott. And so, by Tuesday afternoon we’ll see all the
elements that emphasize the depth of the relationship between the Trump

            administration and Netanyahu’s government.
