                                                 Smart Buying

With no lines, no cash registers and after a pilot that went on for more than
a year, the retail giant Amazon’s first comfort shop opened to the public

right next to the company’s headquarters in Seattle. (You) go into the

store, take a product and just walk out. When the customers leave the
store, their Amazon account is automatically charged, there’s no need to

scan the product, nor weigh anything independently, not even meet the

man or woman at the cash register, simply walk out. How does it work?
The system identifies customers’ actions and can also identify a situation

where for instance, the customer changes his mind and puts the product

back on the shelf. At this stage, don’t be amazed if the day will come when
each buyer will be personally suited with sales and perks. And this store

should definitely unsettle competitors, maybe even us. Amazon founder

Jeff Bezos was already recently crowned as the richest man in the world,
with a capital of over a hundred billion dollars. As of right now, Amazon

doesn’t intend on expanding this pilot to more branches, but considering

its recent purchase of the health food chain Whole Foods, we won’t be
surprised if this is what will eventually happen.
