Exercise: Act out the song in Hebrew while looking at the
English text.
There was a man in Israel But know this, Bar Kokhaba
Whose name was Bar Kokhba Was strong and mighty!
A young and tall man He quickly jumped on top of the lion
With eyes that glow And as light as an eagle flew away.
He was a hero Over mountain and valley,
He called out for freedom With a freedom flag in his hand,
All the people loved him All the people applauded:
He was a hero! Hooray Bar Khokhba!
A hero! Hooray!
One day an incident happened,
It was a sad incident.
Bar Kokhba was captured
And put in a cage.
It was a horrible cage,
Where the lion roared
And as he saw Bar Kokhba
The lion attacked!
Attacked!
