The Jobs of the Future
Japanese Shuji Morimoto has a business where he gets paid to join people
in their activities. He joins a meal at a restaurant or at a cafe and even for
birthdays. He calls it renting a person who does nothing. For many of his
clients, Morimoto is the only one who listens to them. In recent years
Japan is dealing with a lot of problems [related to] loneliness. Some say
this is the future of the world where there is less communication between
people. Today [we] can still think that Morimoto's business is strange, but
it is possible that in the future there will be such businesses here as well.
