The Founders Square

On Rothschild Boulevards, close to the first kiosk of Tel Aviv,
there's a square. The name of the square is "the Founders
Square". Many years ago, in the same place where the Founders
Square is, there was a lottery for a division of plots of land in
order to build Ahuzat Bait.
Akiva Arieh Weiss organizes the lottery. They take seashells
and on the seashells they write the names of the families and the
numbers of the plots of land. They put the seashells in two
different boxes and each time a child takes one seashell of a plot
of land and another one with a family name. The name of the
child is Moshe Fogel. In the lottery there are 60 families.
In 2009, they have another lottery with the families'
grandchildren, for the 100 year celebrations of Tel Aviv.
